Specialisation Course Conflict-Sensitive Project Management

This training aims to prepare experts for successful design and implementation of international development projects in post-conflict areas. The course is designed for field practitioners who wish to reflect on their work and enhance their skills to efficiently manage projects in peace-building and peacekeeping activities and people who aim to specialise in managing projects and programmes in post-conflict settings.

Scheduled Course

IPT SC: Conflict-Sensitive Project Management: 21 – 30 Juli 2017

Modules include identification of project ideas, situation analysis and needs assessment (Pre-/Crisis/Post-Crisis), stakeholder analysis, Do No Harm Approach, Result Based Management (Logical Framework Approach), Theory of Change, budgeting, fundraising, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

 

Target Group:

  • People who work or have worked in a project team, as project managers or consultants.
  • Field practitioners (e.g. development and humanitarian aid practitioners) who wish to reflect on their work and enhance their skills to efficiently manage projects in peace-building and peacekeeping activities
  • People who have attended the Core Course and are interested in specialising in project management.

COURSE FEES: 1.410€ include tuition fees, course materials, coffee breaks, full-board accommodation, joint transport to and from the airport, and a social event

IPT Core Course for Peace Builders

The ENTRi certified CORE COURSE comprises theoretical inputs and practical exercises tailored to the realities in the field. All modules enhance interpersonal skills, highlight the importance of active involvement in the host society, and promote a reflective and critical approach. Junior professionals benefit particularly as they get the opportunity to reflect on their own mission readiness and motivation.

Specialisation Course Human Rights in Conflict

The course aims at enhancing the skills needed by professionals to monitor, protect and promote human rights in the field. The acquired knowledge helps to ensure that their work is efficient, relevant, sustainable, participatory, and carried out safely during or after armed conflict.
The course will enhance participants’ understanding of international and regional human rights law and standards and equip them with the necessary tools to apply this knowledge to their everyday work in the field. The course is designed to raise participants’ self-awareness in terms of behaviour, attitudes and values when dealing with human rights issues in international peace-building and peacekeeping activities.
